Ok, commence the obligatory "I'm starting a blog, look at me now" etc. I'm not going to, but I'm sure that you've come up with 5 random beginnings as cliche as this one already.*
I just returned from the worst trip of my life. So that's a good thing - going snowboarding at the end of this week, which is also a good thing. It'd be an excellent thing if I knew I weren't going to come back with a broken thumb, 2 broken fingers, and a bum knee. But hey, that's the fun of it.
Back to my inexperience: who exactly are you supposed to direct blog thoughts to when you write? It seems that it's half personal journal and half elaborate stage show. Mine will hopefully look like more of the former. Also is it bad to make paragraphs different sizes like this?*
That was a rhetorical question and hopefully I can be mindful of faux pas blogging without ever having seen it stated explicitly. Tomorrow and the next day are hopefully days of gratuitous nerdery that I've missed out on so much for the past 7 weeks. After that, skiing, and then back to work.
Another goal with this blog thing is to be more organized in just about every aspect of my life - thinking, planning, gaming, living, etc. I know conceptually how organization works, but as far as overcoming the mental hurdles I've put in place to executing those concepts, I haven't a clue. So e-mail or comment or post-it note on my noggin any suggestions or faults that you see (all 2 of you)* regarding such things. Part of that goal involves begging for criticism as much as possible - good ole' Sun Tzu (aka Chang Qing) with his "there is no growth without conflict." Forcing as much of what's in my private mind into the public light will hopefully expose faults that I can't/won't see.
Ta da! Blog #1 down.
*Cliches: First, stating you aren't doing a cliche by doing it; Second, doing retarded things with text; Third, writing about the lack of people reading your blog.
